Buy Nothing Day

The Friday after
Thanksgiving is probably the busiest shopping day of the year. As such, it is
also the occasion for Buy Nothing Day! In celebration of non-consumerism, the Reverend
Billy and the Buy
Nothing Gospel Choir brought their message to New York City on November 28,
2003. They gathered at the Plaza in front of the Plaza Hotel and proceeded to
sing and spread the word of not buying in front of several establishments along
Fifth Avenue until the Reverend et al. entered the Disney store. Take a look at
